I DON’T LIKE YOU

Have you ever met someone who just didn’t like you and you didn’t know why? Perhaps you can think of people you don’t like and you may or may not be able to put your finger on the reason. Are there people in recovery, church or work that just drive you crazy and you hate running into them? Join Toni, Bruce and the Monty’man as they ask the question, “Is it alright to not like someone, does there have to be a reason and what is the solution? Who is the real enemy? Closing song: “My Jesus” by Todd Agnew

Join Toni, Bruce and the Monty’man as they discuss several topics of addiction and recovery in the news. But what about the nasty meetings? The meetings that are host to those who interrupt, criticize, bash and otherwise suck the life out of the fellowship? Join Toni and Monty for part one of “Nasty Meetings” (How Bad Behavior Undermines Recovery Support Meetings). Closing song: “Oreo Cream Sandwich Cookie Blues” by Michael Brown.

Self-Defeating Character Defects. SIX BIG ONES!

“Selfishness – self-centeredness! That, we think, is the root of our troubles. Driven by a hundred forms of fear, self-delusion, self-seeking, and self-pity, we step on the toes of our fellows and they retaliate. Sometimes they hurt us, seemingly without provocation, but we invariably find that at some time in the past we have made decisions based on self which later placed us in a position to be hurt”.  ~Alcoholics Anonymous pg 62

CHRIST and the BIG BOOK

For many, the topic of Jesus Christ being part of the original Alcoholics Anonymous structure brings forth controversary and even hostility.  But the truth bears out that Christ was indeed at the foundation of the building blocks of A.A.’s development and is alive and well regardless of what some would have us believe.
